2005 World Beef Expo
We had a good show at the World Beef Expo this year. The facility is one of the best and the WBE staff is great to work with. There were a total of 5 exhibitors with a total of 24 head of cattle.
As most of you are aware it takes a lot of effort and dedication (and some times frustration) to get your animals ready for the show ring. It doesn’t start a week before the show date - it takes months to get your animals show ready. This was the first year we have had someone from the British White Association participate in the show - thanks to Phil and Barb Hanson of Highland, Wisconsin for their participation. We would like to thank Larry Fedler, Phil & Barb Hanson, Trisha Kniep, Kevin & Rebecca Wolf for their hard work in getting ready for the show.
Last year the WBE paid out $1,300.00 for our show alone. This year we were asked for contributions toward the White Park show premiums and the World Beef Expo would match our funds. A special thank you to Larry Fedler, Kevin Wolf and Glenn Wenger for their generous contributions of $125.00 each to help support the show. Without your continued effort and support our show at the World Beef Expo may not be possible.
I would also like to thank the members that traveled from near and far to visit with us and to watch our show. It is expensive to travel any distance with the fuel prices as expensive as they are and we truly appreciate your support.
Next year’s World Beef Expo will again be held at Wisconsin State Fair Park. The dates are September 21st – September 24th. Since this will be our National Show, I am hoping we will have more participation from our members.
